TEST CHLAMYDIA PNEUMONIAE

Il Test CHLAMYDIA PNEUMONIAE è una prova allergometrica che consente, attraverso un prelievo capillare di sangue, di individuare con elevata sensibilità e specificità la possibile positività alla Chlamydia tramite uno screening di primo livello.

Le Chlamydie sono batteri immobili Gram negativi e se ne conoscono tre specie patogene per l’uomo: C. trachomatis, C. pneumoniae e C. psittaci.

L’infezione può occasionalmente causare una malattia cronica con sindromi immunopatologiche quali eritema nodoso, artralgia, sindrome di Guillain-Barré (GBS) o mialgia. Inoltre, le infezioni croniche da Chlamydia pneumoniae sono state associate all’eziologia di asma, aterosclerosi
e patologie cardiovascolari.
